Soundtrack for houdini escape room9/9/2023 ![]() ![]() ‘Buck’ helped us out when we really got stuck but it did lose us a bit of time trying to read it. I remember at one point we read ‘Stop Rain’ as ‘Step Once’. My partner and I are both dyslexics so reading cursive handwriting is very hard and there was limited light in the room. The minor one was the font that some of the written text was in. There were two parts that I had issue with, one very minor, one a little major. Which we will CERTAINLY be using! I can’t wait to go back again and try one of the other games! I also really appreciated that the ladies there were able to accommodate us in the fact that two of our party weren’t able to make it due to sickness and put their entry onto a voucher for later use. Shame the teacher portraits were hexed but hey, dark wizards love to cause trouble. The fact we also got to have wands AND a wizard cloak was just an added plus. ![]() The puzzles were challenging but at no point felt impossible… except when we were trying to work out how to spell Gauntlet… which I then didn’t need to know. ![]() Oh and a shout out to Buck and the Frozen Lady for helping when we got stuck. Professor Dumblegorege (AKA Georgie) was so fun to interact with, going through all the rules and explaining everything in a way that made it feel like we were part of the story from start to finish. I had such an amazing time at this escape room! I have always wanted to do an escape room and this was such an amazing experience! We did the Hexmore version and for a couple of ‘Potterheads’ it was intense, immersive, creative and sooo well done! The room’s looks and felt amazing, the use of technology and riddles combining, the style of the whole thing was just truly perfect! ![]()
